Vocab words

in this picture the mouse is trying to be discreet so the cat wont find it. It is being subtle.

this picture shows this persons forte because obviously it is because its there job. Forte means a specialty or best skill.

i chose this picture for subtle because i think this plant is very subtle because it is delicate and it is almost transparent.

i chose this picture for the word adverse because toxic stuff is harmful to you and that is one of the meanings of adverse.

Breaking News

\

We now interrupt this television show for a special news report. About ten minutes ago a gigantic painting crash landed on 1842 Littleton Street in front of Starbucks coffee."I was serving coffee to the customers," says starbucks employee, Sally Duke,"and this giant thing just falls from the sky outta nowhere and it hit one of our regulars....Jeremy Smith. He was a good friend of mine." Yes it is true that local Jeremy Smith who is also a regular at this particular starbucks was stabbed by this giant painting. This tragic accident was unfortunately fatal. Another local was seriously injured. He just missed the same fate as Jeremy by about an inch and will be taken to the hospital. We hope best wishes to him. Detectives are on the case, investigating where this giant painting came from. This is Cameron Coats reporting to you live from 1842 Littleton Street.

Dreams of Flying

Flying,flying
high in the sky
the wind in my face
the wind in my hair
My cape rippling in the breeze
off to save the day
no one can stop me
in my dreams of flying
for i am superman

Should I stay or should I go?

One day, you wake up in hospital. In the nearby bed lies a world famous violinist who is connected to you with various tubes and machines.

To your horror, you discover that you have been kidnapped by the Music Appreciation Society. Aware of the maestro’s impending death, they hooked you up to the violinist.

If you stay in the hospital bed, connected to the violinist, he will be totally cured in nine months. You are unlikely to suffer harm. No one else can save him. Do you have an obligation to stay connected?

I would stay because if i were that violinist i would want me to stay. Ive still got my whole life ahead of me and he dosen"t if i leave. Nine months isnt going to change much. I would have to be payed though because they took me without asking. If i left i would never be able to forgive myself. I dont think it would be considered murder, but it would feel like it. I might be bored sometimes but i would feel good about myself. Most of what i do all day is talk on the phone, go on the computer, and watching TV. I would miss going outside and stuff.

Book!

Okay so the book im doing is The Outsiders. I just loved this book after i read the first chapter. The Outsiders was actually a book we had to read for class in eighth grade and i really enjoyed it.I've actually read this book a couple times. Im not exactly sure what exactly i liked about it so much. I dont know if it was S.E Hintons way of writing that drew me in or how the book just relates to everyone or its teriffic story is just what made me love it so much. Its even better for teenagers because its about teenagers and it was written by a teenager. The book made me realize that we are all outsiders at one point or another. This book is definitely something you should read!

Boxes!!

This is more of a dialogue than a story. You can make up on your own who’s saying what. I left that up to you. It’s about these five businessmen who are overworked and they go to work on this Monday morning and are just dreading the thought of work. You’ll see how it works into the picture.
Hope you like it!

“Hey Bill”
“Hey Dwayne”
“How’s it going?”
“Oh same old same old”
“Yes that’s how it is these days”
“Oh hey there Fred”
“Hi there”
“Well, its nine o’clock, better check in.”
“Yes, I guess so”
“Don’t want the old, cranky, boss to yell at us again”
“Ha-ha you’re right”
“Sometimes I wish we could get a break though”
“Yeah, that would be nice.”

“Oh hey there’s Dennis.”
“Hey Dennis, need some help with those boxes?”
“Yeah, boss just wanted me to take these outside.”
“Here let me get that for you.”
“Thanks, so what did you guys do this weekend?”
“Eh, not much just watching football”
“I didn’t get a chance, those kids are a handful”
“Tell me about it…”
“Yeah I remember when I was a kid I used to play in boxes like these.”
“Sometimes I’d just give anything to be a kid again.”
“Join the club.”
“I just want to climb into this box and forget all about work.”
“Yep.”
“Yep.”

“Wow, it is so windy today.”
“Hey, it’s Jim and Garret
“Hey guys what have you brought us?”
“Oh just decided to get coffee for everyone.”
“Thanks guys”
“No problem”
“So what are you guys doing out here?”
“Oh just reminiscing on our childhood.”
“Yeah…”
“Hey Garret what are you doing?”
“I dunno, haven’t you ever wanted to put a box on your head?”
“Jim? Oh you guys… C’mon we got to get to work.”
“Oh Dennis, C’mon don’t you just want to have a little fun?”
“Well, I just don’t want to get fired!”
“You won’t get fired.”
“C’mon Dennis.”
“C’mon”
“Okay, but I’m blaming you guys if we get caught!”
